Steal a Cup of Sand from Augusta National and Prepare to be Arrested

On Sunday, a 40-year-old souvenir collector was chased and arrested by Augusta National security and deputy sheriffs for stealing sand from the holy grounds of the Masters! The name of the man with the mugshot photo below is Clayton Price Baker.

Captain Scott Gay told the press that the menace was drunk, “slipped under the ropes” and tried to fill his cup with sand while the tournament was happening.

Unfortunately for the golf sand loving fan, he didn’t get any!

So what was the sentence for stealing sand?

He was arrested for disorderly conduct with a bond amounting to $285! I guess sand isn’t just some dirt on the ground, after all a cup is worth hundreds of bucks!
